"Catch-all" acronym for specialized, single-purpose tools: SFT, for Special Fuckin' Tool, or (in more polite company) Super Friendly Tool. An oxyfuel torch is a Fire Wrench.

AKA Smoke Wrench or Blue Tip Wrench. Usually used in conjunction with a BFH.

Also used with general duct work. I have a bar of it in the basement that I've had for probably 30 or 35 years.

Elephant snot - brown construction adhesive that came in a caulking tube. Used it to build our log home. Sika-flex is a brand name. Needed a caulking gun with it. Got it everywhere as it didn’t wipe off very well. Also used for boat building. 25 year guarantee on the stuff.

In my Navy days - “Boomer” was a nuclear armed submarine.

And a “fish in the water” ?

I always thought "Boomer" was from the FBM (Fleet Ballistic Missile) label, but either works.

I believe "Fish in the water" is a torpedo, AKA a "torpecker". When your sonar guy calls "fish in the water" you can hear assholes slamming shut all over the place.

Blue Point Wrench also.

Also, 3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive, we called it yellow death.

Tightening a critical fastener without the use of a torque wrench was "calibrated arm"

One car dealership I worked at,we renamed the hack saw, in honor of one of our technicians with a propensity for shortcutting everything possible, it became a "George saw".

100 mph tape - the OD green tape used in the Army.

A couple of years ago, I was in the PX and saw "90 mph tape." It's the same tape, only not as wide or large a roll.

Also used for the connectors between lifts of pipe staging. Alternatively called a "horse cock".
