To paint with an only slightly broad brush, many South Koreans hate the USA for whatever reason. Maybe we smell bad.
Perhaps an instructive anecdote. The LPGA has been dominated by South Korean women for several years now. A stink was raised some time back about how few of these women would care to learn English despite making their excellent livings in the US based women's golf tour.
I don't know if that's changed but yeah, we're not that loved over there. Jeong's comments are so ugly it would seem to indicate she's the one who's the problem.
