smschulzI wish I had the space for a bunch of equipment, I would do the same.
I also wouldn't be looking for a new fitness place.
Kudos for building something nice.

This may sound like an outrageous suggestion--it may
be an outrageous suggestion, but would it be possible to build the space on your property? That's what an acquaintance of mine is doing.
IIRC: You golf? Combined gym and golf studio?

If my wife would go along with it
I might be inclined to do that. I don't have the ceiling height for chin-ups, pull-ups, standing OHPs, or full swings. Got no place to do medicine ball throws. Plus: Having a simulator over wintertime, even if it was just a Garmin R10 or a Rapsodo MLM2 Pro, would be a benefit. Not to mention being able to do swing speed training in the off season.
Problems are: 1. The expense and 2. No way to do it without impacting the backyard view--which was one of the reasons for buying this house in the first place.

Thanks! Wasn't my first choice. It sorta ended-up being my only choice. Sure: I could have joined one of the gyms I didn't really care for, but then I probably wouldn't have stuck with it.
