His statement suspending his gubernatorial campaign shows the likely progression: he’s sorry for mistakes in judgment, next he’ll state or restate any improper relationships were consensual, blah, blah, to finally he resigns to focus on getting healthy.

Also with his getting out of the CA governor’s race, how much interest will California justice offices, the DA’s, have in criminally investigating/prosecuting Swalwell. Innocent or guilty, getting him out of the race was paramount.

I get that sentiment and it does have some validity, either way, innocent or guilty works for me.

Do prefer that he is found to be guilty though, he needs to go be charged, maybe in NY where they are looking into the allegations at the State Level.
