How high can a coyote jump?
I've watched coyotes in the wild for years. As others have said, they will much prefer to go under or thru a fence. Coyotes can jump but that is not a natural move for them, except when startled, at least that has been my experience.

If a coyote really wants to get somewhere they will most likely figure out how to do it. They are extremely adaptive.

My back area is 4' field fence with two strands of barbed wire on top equaling 6' total.
That didn't stymie coyotes at all.
I added another strand to make it 7' high. Upon inspection I've found hair on the top strand, they're still trying, but leaving a bit of themselves in the process.

Most yards here have a block wall about six feet high all around. It doesn't stop them from going over, & they walk the top of them with ease, going yard to yard.

I think either the typist had a constant error or the “t” key was broken on the keyboard. Big Grin
