Bought a new bike over the weekend
1970 Honda Trail 90.

I've been looking for one of these for a long time. It's the bike I learned to ride on a way back when. Great little trail bike and the darned things will climb trees. It'll be nice to have this little guy to get into places the 4-wheeler won't go. And, when Lil' Kim EMPs our asses, I'll still have some transportation.

This thing is in great shape and runs like a top. It of course needs some cleaning up, so it'll be a fun winter project.

That little scoot is in great shape for damn near 50 years old. Amazing. Have fun.

Nice one congratulations! I need to get mine going.

No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.

My first motorcycle ride was on that machine. Really enjoyed a few miles over a summer on my friends Trail 70. Sold it in 1986 I think.

I've been looking for one of those for years! I grew up riding the Trail 90 on the farm!

Awesome! Is that the one with the fold down handblebars, or was that later?

Years ago my little friend and I found a Piaggio 70cc in a trash bin. We cleared up the title and overhauled it. I ended up letting him keep it, it was a 3 speed grip shift. Like an old 3 speed bicycle.

Nice little Honda 90cc. Back when there were Motorcycle rental shops in the mid '60's people learned to ride a motorcycle on a Honda 50/90CC bike.

Yep, it has the fold down handlebars.

Just got back from taking it for a spin down the road and through the woods. This little guy is a blast to ride. I do have to relearn how to shift it smoothly though. The no clutch thing takes some getting used to.

Perfect for a bumper mount.

Yeah, I was perusing the interwebs today looking for an easy way to haul it. They make racks that slide into the hitch receiver that look pretty cool.

All my riding buddies had one at some point early on.

Looks good.

I have a project bike to pick up on the left coast near Palm Springs. a '65 Suzuki Hillbilly. Never seen it, a friend gave it to me. Supposed to be complete and original (worn), needs a headlight housing and the trail sprocket. I might go out there via Amtrak and dismantle it and ship it back here, or road trip it and bring it back in the Jeep, nothing set in stone yet.

Nice, that a cult classic motorcycles if there ever was one. Honda must of sold a gazillion of those back in the day.

That's too cool! I also grew up riding one. My Dad rode it to work at the steel mills. IIRC he had two over the years. A blast out of the past, for sure!

DId you buy is specifically for SHTF end of world transportation? I have a 250CC dual sport motorcycle that gets 76 miles per gallon for just that use.
