So I have been using an Accu-Check Connect glucose monitor (no longer available. It is now the Accu-Check "Guide", but takes a different strip than my meter). This meter has a USB port to make downloading the meter a snap.

Back a few months ago I purchased the Accu-Check 360 software which is the software to download and track glucose. This program makes great graphs, pie charts, etc.. from your meter readings. You can specify the time duration for the graph (three months, one week, one year, all readings).

I also discovered the Release capsule from GOLO.com. this is a plant based capsule that supposedly lowers insulin resistance. within a week of taking this at one capsule in the morning and one in the afternoon my glucose was lower without any diet changes or extra exercise.

My bicycle and indoor trainer so I can exercise even if the weather or temperature isn't conducive to an outdoor ride. This is for obvious reasons due to exercise burning carbs and calories.

I'm glad for you. You're obviously being proactive, and doing a good job.
I have Type 1 Diabetes, so I can appreciate your efforts.

Thanks for this information.
I recently upgraded my own meter to a 'Livongo' provided by my insurance. Worth checking out if anyone got the promotional stuff from their ins carrier. Help in closer BG monitoring, exercise, etc all very important.

+1 for Livongo. Mine was free thru the insurance company, with free strips and lancets. It's really good and stores data, gives averages, offers health tips, etc. Even has a feature to notify someone if your blood glucose drops below a certain level (default is 40).

I didn't go with the Livongo as the VA provides my strips and insulin.

I have found a wrist based heart rate monitor to be a great tool for monitoring heart rate while exercising and helping monitor caloric expenditure (I am currently using a Garmin Fenix 5X).

I have a nice scale that I won't break with my fat ass (I am at 368 pounds at 6'3").

And I can use my watch as an activity tracker and I use a Garmin 820 bicycle computer to monitor my power output when riding (I have a power meter on my bike).

Can you download a livongo meter to a program that automatically charts and graphs your diabetes? (yes this is a serious question).

I was recently diagnosed Type 1 and the continuous glucose monitor they hooked me up with has in my short time with it and the disease been an absolute game changer. No more finger sticks. I'm using the Dexcom G6. It's expensive off the shelf but my insurance covers the entire cost. There are other options on the market. I recommend looking into a CGM if the VA will pay.

I bet you can ask their 'team' for a comprehensive answer. This meter is new to me in the last couple months & still learning what it has to offer. Now that you've pointed out this question, I'd like to find out myself. Since I am unfamiliar with any programs that might have any/all these services, will have to research to see just what IS out there.

Livongo allows you to download that data via email, rather than a direct download.

I am an extrememly skeptical type, I tend to think all of this stuff is snake oil. Are you still taking these and are you still seeing a change in your levels?
