Many of you may know I LOVE WATCHES, and the stories that are associated with them. If you have a few minutes to spare, watch this:

When I'd see Alton at the local airport, he'd be sporting the Omega.

Yeah, I've seen him wearing that Breitling on a couple of his Good Eats shows.

Didn't realize he is a gun guy. That is really awesome. He has a nice collection there and he knows what he likes.

It's mind blowing that he found his father's stolen watch...

The more I watch his shows the more I realize he would appreciate guns and watches.

He is all about the science - what happens to this protein when you break it down, how do you actually make corn tortillas, how long can you keep that chicken in the fridge?

For a guy like that, mechanical marvels like guns and watches are going to be right up there on the desire list!

Amazing that he tracked down his father's watch - it meant a lot to him and I'm glad he found it.

Also, I love me some Omega's! Razz

Thanks for sharing. I had seen this a few weeks ago. Glad he's a gun nut too. Hodinkee's Talking Watches is a great YouTube channel. They get some very interesting watch geeks from all walks of life.

Alton is the Man! I love to cook, and have learned a lot from him. We also share a passion for watches. Great video and a cool story about his father's Omega.

Brown has always said that Good Eats is a show for cooks, and not a cooking show.

Also, Brown said that he chose to end the show when he saw the handwriting on the wall- the future of cable food channels is this preposterous "competition" nonsense. I can't stand that crap. Brown adapted to it, as you see, by agreeing to host some of these pointless, silly shows, but I'd like to see him bring back Good Eats.

He's also a guitar player. He was profiled in the Taylor guitars quarterly magazine/catalog a while back. Regular Renaissance man by the look of it.
