I got a good chuckle out of this thread. Though the OP's assertion is not wrong. Living in Berlin has the advantage that the city was under overall allied control during the Cold War, and above that has always been a melting pot since at least the 19th century; probably the least German of all cities in this country, and certainly the only real metropolis. As a result, the typical national anal way about regulations is tempered by happy disregard. On the downside, public administration sucks. Can't have everything I guess. | |||
