If it isn't already, get the bed sprayed.

Tacoma beds are composite. No need to spray, but a bed mat is a really nice addition for under $100. Keeps cargo from sliding around.

+1 on the cargo mat. Great looking Tacoma! Enjoy!

Great choice!
After 2 years of ownership I really love my Taco. No issues other than a slight lack of low end torque.

I was getting our 4Runner serviced Saturday and saw a 2020 pro. But not in that color That’s hot. Big Toyota fan, I also have a 17 Orange off road.

Are those Pro wheels gloss or matte the one I saw Saturday looked matte but could just have been dusty ?

TRD Wheels are matte. They have been standard on the Pro models for a couple years and are now an option on the other Tacoma/Tundra/4Runner trims.

I bought one for a full size matching spare for $178 from the dealer, and I think thats not a bad price for a custom aluminum rim. Last year around december time frame Toyota was having a sale, 25% off accessories on their onlines store. Folks were buying so many of the TRD rims that many dealers were backordered for a couple months on them.

On mine a 17 Pro they are gloss black. There are black and dark Grey matte available for some models and aftermarket sales

Tell me about it. I went to the Overland Expo East in VA a couple of weeks ago and saw all sorts of mods I want to do. Already bought a bed rack - this one (not the tent, not my truck):

Thinking about a bed drawer system, probably the Decked:

Why get a truck if planning to buy all that? Just get a 4Runner of Sequoia. I don't get it.

They actually do different things. The truck with a bed rack offers many options, especially for those they camp and overland. Tie things to them, put a roof top tent over them, stuff stuff underneath, all with very little additional weight (the rack not the add ons). And they are not that expensive as these things go.

But yeah, a 4Runner offers a lot too.

Very nice! I’m looking at a Cargo Guide from ARE vs Decked. Less height but no drawers, but more useful for me.

Nice yruck. Kinda liking that OD color. I'm holding out for the Nautical Blue to be available on the trucks and then I'm looking for a sport with a manual trans.

A Perpetual Disappointment...

Manual trans??
Does that model come with a carburetor and points ignition? If you're a real man you'll get crank windows too. Wink

Well I’ll most likely be looking at trucks, as I figure my 2005 Tundra will be totaled. Have there been any improvements in leg room in the recent Tacomas?

We have a 2017 TRD Sport. Leg room is much improved. I’m 6’1” and the seating position is very comfortable. I did figure out that the sunroof option takes away a noticeable amount of head room, so we went with one without that option.
