Nope, sorry dude. I even mentioned the specific replicas (CEII’s, so Corsair and Quantum IIRC) I was using at the time. This was 2000’s, not today. I understand and fully get Arai has adapted their shells since, and offer multiple variants. Back then, in an Arai, to get max airflow and protection, you used a race helmet. Shoeis still fit my head shape better than any Arai today. That’s specifically why I mentioned trying everything on to get the best fit and don’t be allured, by X, Y, or Z, go with fitment first. What am I doing? I'm talking to an empty telephone

I know the Quantum has always been made for folks with a round head. I know because thats the fit I like, I am trying a Regent this time, but it has the same fit as the Quantum (mellon shaped)just with a little more entry room. I do not know if the Signets have changed shapes over the years, because I had never tried one before recently, but they are far more narrow than a similarly sized Quantum now. Find a Cycle Gear store and try some on, get whatever fits the best.

You're right Stihead, a Quantum wouldn't be comfortable for me and certainly not for anyone with an elongated oval head shape. And if a Signet is too narrow you might try a Corsair. I was trying helmets on 5-6 years ago at an Arai display at a rally, I tried a Signet and was struggling to find one that felt just right when an Arai person came and offered to assist. When I asked if he could fit me he got his little tape out and measured my head, stood back and looked at me, walked over to the shelf and said try this. It was a Corsair L and fit just right (other than just a bit snug at my cheeks). I hadn't even tried a Corsair because of the price! ![]() No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.

imo: kind of like holsters, I feel like you have to go thru 3-6 different ones over a year or three before you find the right one. FWIW: I'm currently rocking 2 different HJCs depending on the weather Note: My most comfortable (But too warm for ~Jun-Aug) was a nice Aria full face (~$400 on sale if IIRC). HOWEVER around year 2 something happened and a small clip/plastic part on the visor broke and rendered it unusable... Sadly, NOT covered by warranty... Turns out I got it on sale; it was already 3 years old; warranty was only for 5 years from date of manufacture. BUMMER, I had to special order the part, was like $45 shipped; and what I received only kind of fit... So helmet was vastly underutilized. Take Away: Check date of manufacture and warranty T&C before buying

I have two Arai and a Shuberth. The Shuberth is top notch if they fit. Honestly, it's hard to go wrong with any of the name brands, fit being more important. Ignem Feram

You are not going to go wrong with any of the top brands. Choose the helmet that fits you. I went with a Shoei RF-1200. Diligentia, Vis, Celeritas "People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf." -- George Orwell
