I think it is a very poor question. That interviewer is an idiot. Cleese is probably the first intelligent person she has met. She is just an all around dope. A third grader would be a better interviewer.
Cleese reminds me of the Law School Professor in the old TV show The Paper Chase.

Not sure of the date but i saw shapiro being interviewed by the bbc which he terminated early. It seems in both cases that the interviews were set up under false pretenses and the interviewers pursued contentious headline topics that were out of context.
Unprofessional to say the least. Not interviewers but attention whores.

“but” = I didn’t like your response to my question so I’ll give you mine instead. Just another reason why the Cognoscenti hold journalists in the same regard as divorce attorneys. Cleese provided a brilliant & factual summary of the divisiveness swallowing the world and she wanted nothing to do with it. He handled it in the best way possible. Stopping it in its tracks.

Thanks for posting. I hold that Mr. Cleese is one of the finest comedians to ever live. He does not quite reach the hight of Mr. Carlin but he is close.

Cleese has always been way ahead in showing the absurdity of many social issues. You only need watch the “Call me Loretta” scene from The Life of Brian to see he was forty years ahead.

She has the gall to be condescending to her far intellectual and moral superior. I can't bear to watch her anymore. She calls individual liberty old fashioned but it's not nearly as old fashioned as the oppression of pearl clutching sanctimony that political correctness imposes and she doubtlessly and foolishly endorses.
