This site has some good auto repair advice in it. I trained him myself I haven't found anything I disagree, or seriously disagree, with. I have used washable filters for years with no ill effects. Have had an Italian made Sprint Super Competition micron mesh dry polyester air filter in my 2003 Honda S2000 for the past 15+ years. Gets a good periodic soap and water bath. Smile
