That's heartening. It would be great to see in Seattle. Dan Satterburg won't prosecute for all kinds of heinous stuff that goes on. I don't even need to get into it. They'll never recall him, though - he's been in office for fifteen years worth of four year terms, so residents must like what he's doing.

He says his liberal policies are part of a movement. He is right. He can move his ass right out of the office. These idiots live in a bubble and it comes as a shock that not everyone thinks like them. Thank goodness the rebound is coming

Another solution: if they refuse to prosecute and just want to release, release the criminals in the neighborhood of the DA since they’re not a threat to society.

Sounds like they're not guaranteed a legitimate successor in the DA's office...Odds?

Good news. I’m sure he will be replaced by someone only marginally better but Cali sucks which is why my entire family has or is leaving the state.
My issue is more journalism related. Not arguing that things aren't worse because they are. The headline says the murder rate is soaring. An increase of 11% is not good but in what world does that constitute “soar”. If I told you my 401k balanced soared least year and then I said it gained 11% you would laugh in my face. Sorry, words matter. Horrible journalism. They can’t be accurate with anything. Rant off.

I guess the druggies and derelicts couldn't bother themselves to go vote.
I see Haight-Ashbury district voted to keep him, not surprising.
I have a few SIGs.

GOVERNMENT WATCH / POLITICS Will Boudin Be the First Soros D.A. to Fall This Year? Posted Monday, June 6, 2022 | By AMAC Newsline
'Should Boudin be recalled Tuesday, it would also be a major warning sign for George Gascon, Boudin’s progressive counterpart just to the south in LA, who faces a recall of his own. As of last month, more than 450,000 signatures have been collected in support of the effort. The organizers believe they are “on the cusp” of reaching the 566,857-signature threshold necessary to trigger a recall vote. Their deadline for doing so is July 6.
While many California voters originally supported these radical DA’s – thanks in large part to a huge influx of cash from progressive billionaire George Soros(emphasis mine) – the catastrophic rise in crime as a result of their policies has now laid bare just how devastating their idea of “reforms” are. Those same voters are now clamoring for a change of course, and rejecting the progressive criminal justice model outright.
Despite this, some liberal elites in California and elsewhere in the country still don’t appear to have gotten the message. California Attorney General Rob Bonta, whom Governor Gavin Newsom appointed to the post back in March of 2021, has continued to fight to end cash bail across the state and advance “de-incarceration” policies, even denying to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement on preventing illegal immigration.
Bonta has already received endorsements from Gascon and Boudin for his commitment to many of the policies that led to their respective recalls. The same group of donors who backed the two men have already maximized their personal donations to Bonta and are also planning to spend millions backing his reelection this fall.'

Not many states have recall capabilities like California.

In a press conference, Boudin blamed it on right wing billionaires.
How is possible that 60% of SF voters were swayed by right wing billionaires?

This election does not mean that San Francisco has drifted to the far right on our approach to criminal justice," recall campaign chairperson Mary Jung said in a statement late Tuesday night...
In the final analysis, the race was not especially close, with 60% of voters supporting the recall. Boudin enjoyed his strongest support in inner-core neighborhoods like the Mission and Haight-Ashbury, but he was decisively rejected by wealthier whites in enclaves like Pacific Heights as well as by Asian Americans in redoubts like Richmond.
...His supporters [argued that] the recall effort was motivated by an embittered but wealthy Republican minority unwilling to wait until 2023, when Boudin was to face reelection.
