Android phones we will all have to deal with at least for a while.
But what browser do you use say, instead of chrome?

I'm just installing DDG (phone) browser as I type here. I can't let this googull crap just sit around.

Been using Brave [Chrome-based, IIRC] on my PC & Samsung phone for a while now.

To truly de-Google-ify yourself, you would need to get rid of the entire phone and get an iPhone.

The entire Android platform *IS* Google

I was a user of Firefox from the beginning, but i dropped it after the developers ran the head guy out for supporting Christian causes in his personal life. I’ve been using Brave and DDG now for a while with no complaints.

Yeah, I use Brave and DDG all my PCs already.

So Brave works OK on android? Seems like I tried it years ago and promptly dumped it.

As I said in the OP, many of us will have to do our best to mitigate having to use an android device.

Who knows, considering what is happening with goo-gull, if they manage to self immolate we may eventually see a new android type free of their integral BS.

No complaints on my Samsung phones. S23 currently & had no issue on my prior S22
A bit tedious to input the sync code to get it linked to your PC browser, but fine once that's done.

Brave is awesome. I especially like that it allows me to watch YT videos w/o ads AND save them to the playlist for offline viewing.

I was thinking the same thing.
What is the consensus with using Opera as a search engine?

Isn’t Opera a browser?

Everything mentioned so far is a browser. If you want to get away from google you must also change the search engine your browser is using.
