Our Sedona is a 60 pound Red Heeler/Staffy/Velociraptor mix. She graduated Counter top Sniper School when she hit 5 months old. Any unattended items will be dragged into the back yard, mixed with grass and eaten.

Ole Lou is over ten years old now, and although having been an exceptionally well behaved dog for many years, he seems to have backslided a bit in his old age. He no longer waits to go outside to get a drink, not as long as a toilet seat is left up. My wife is just thrilled with that development given how sloppy a drinker he is. And food left on the counters? Well that was obviously left there just for him. Smile

But when you boil it down to its base, ole Lou is a terrific dog, and a huge part of me that I will greatly miss some day (hopefully not for a while yet). And who on earth could ever stay mad at that face? Obviously not me.

Mine is a 90 lb greyhound that can rest his chin on the countertop. He routinely takes a look at what's up there but he doesn't take anything. The garbage can is another story. He's tall enough to look in and pick out what he wants. My girlfriend's red heeler is smart enough to get the greyhound to pull stuff out and then shares it.

Scout, a rat terrier/beagle/mutt, is about 45 pounds and tall enough to raid the counter as well. One time I came home to a steak and potato dinner waiting for me on said counter. I turned around to answer the phone and within 10 seconds, she had snatched and eaten my steak. I feel your pain, sir.

As for Sam, a Jack Russell terrier/beagle mix, she’s only about 25 pounds and isn’t a threat.

Lol....ours is 100 lbs, long and tall. He can easily see over the top of the kitchen table, and just over the top of the counter. If he stood on his hind legs, he would easily reach the back of the counters in the kitchen. Luckily, he’s a good boy, and we’ve taught him doing that is a no-no. GSD. Biggest shep we’ve ever had, but our baby.
