Was talking to a friend about my middle son, who just broke his left arm for the second time, and he mentioned he has never broken a bone....I was a little stunned....never?

I’ve broken

both legs at least once (my left one so many times I’ve lost count, I’ve had 13 surgeries to reconstruct my left leg and foot),

both Arms (my left one three times, my right one 4 times)

several ribs, every finger, my nose many times, every major bone in my left foot, both hands, both orbitals around my eyes, several teeth....I have titanium in both legs, and my left arm....the only major bone I can think of that typically people break thst I haven’t is my collar bone (knock on wood)

I have no idea what the national average of broken bones per person is, but I figure I’ve got to be raising it

Just got me to thinking, how many out there have never broken a bone? Anyone out there got me beat (and if you do, God bless you, because it’s not a contest I’ve ever wanted to win)

Never broken anything, maybe a toe but nothing that's ever been x-ray'd and confirmed.

Are your breaks sports related or do you make it a habit of cleaning stairs with banana peels?

I played rough in childhood, treehouses, backyard full contact football, bicycle and motorcycle ramps, water skiing, and other shenanigans - played football in high school, Army - enlisted and ROTC and service as an officer - rock climbed, rappelled, etc. - Never broke a bone (knock on wood). I hyper-extended my knee in college and got a slight tear in my patellar tendon, countless cuts and hundreds of stitches, a couple of concussions, but no broken bones.

I played sports as a child, and skied/snowboarded well into adulthood. Definitely was rough, but I have never broken a bone either.

I was a rough and tumble kid, played football, wrestled, boxed, played rugby, all at various levels up through college....got hurt fairly badly on two separate occasions while in the military, which accounts for a lot of the significant damage to the left leg and foot...

I’ve been in two fatal car accidents (not to me, obviously) but that accounts for most of the ribs I’ve broken.

I had actually made it this far without breaking my right leg, and then last Father’s Day my wife gave me a new pair of shoes and the first time I wore them the sole caught on stairs as i was taking them a few at a time and I fell and broke my right ankle

Just...life...I guess...I’m actually really coordinated....I’ve never considered myself unlucky...just some of those things that happen....and you drive on

No broken bones here either despite some pretty rough activities including a 30 foot fall off a cliff in France while snowboarding. That fall resulted in ligament separation in my ac joint and a cracked shoulder blade but still no broken bones.

I've had my share:
Left patella (screws)
Right fibula (plate & screws)
Right collarbone
Right ulna
Left heel (man, that hurt)
Various fingers & toes

The one that gives me grief daily after thirty years is my left knee.

I should also add that I broke so many bones as a kid doing dumb shit stuff at one point the military investigated my dad and mom for child abuse

I was probably 11 or 12 and distinctly remember the MP asking me repeatedly which of my parents did it. My medical record was roughly the size of war and peace, and one of the base doctors had reported it to the MPs

Hahaha. Each of my kids has broken their left arm, my middle son now twice...in my 6 year olds case it was jumping off a swing from way too high a height for a 3 year old, and for the two boys they have all occurred during sports...the oldest one’s wrist was so badly broken his hand was completely displaced off the end of his wrist...and had to be surgically put back in place

The oldest has also broken his nose 3 times catching elbows in basketball

Never broken any large bones, but I've broken a finger and a toe, and chipped my nose socket when I caught a lacrosse stick across the bridge of my nose.

And I've had some serious soft tissue injuries to the foot, knee, and shoulder.
