I never agreed with him much, but three are lot of people I don't agree with, politically. I even like some of them. His comments about Kavanaugh were unbecoming of a Justice, however, and I lost any respect for him I might have had.

I wish his family well, but didn't think much of him.

He had a long and accomplished (I didn't say you have to like his accomplishments) life. But …

Stolen! Big Grin

Often attributed to Mark Twain, but really closer to what was said by Clarence Darrow.

"I have never killed any one, but I have read some obituary notices with great satisfaction."

https://quoteinvestigator.com/.../05/darrow-obituary/

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

"The United States government is the largest criminal enterprise on earth."

The MSM is really gushing over this guy, I see a sainthood nomination coming soon.

Funny, I don't remember this much media adoration when Anton Scalia died...
