11:50 to about 12 the space station will be overhead in DFW. They've activated a cross band repeater that you can listen to on 437.800. New to me so I don't know how well it works, but I'll stay up and give it a shot.

Several years ago while driving (mobile operation) heard and talked directly to R0MIR (russian occupied space vehicle). NO repeater involded -- simplex operation............ lasted less than 3 minute window due to its flight path and speed. de KL7JIU/aka ..........drillsgt.

I did get a connection during this pass but it was very weak and only lasted about 2 minutes fading in and out. I don't have a antenna designed for this so I guess I should not be surprised. But pretty cool anyway.

Impressive for a mobile rig. All of these transmissions are basically simplex going over the air from your station to the space station.
