The guy was locked-up for 3-years and was on 24-hr surveillance by LE. 24-hour surveillance and tails, that's a crazy amount of manpower devoted to just one person.

If this guy was SOOO dangerous, why was he set-free? Its quite possible that LE didn't want this guy free'd but, the courts and current legal standing allowed this guy to be released.

Which then brings up the question - if the problem is the current laws are lax or, don't take into account such dangerous individuals (NZ generally doesn't see a lot of violence) then shouldn't that be the change focus rather than enacting bans & restrictions on a common household tool?

They need to wake up and ban their idiotic government.
