I just requested that weekend off to go down. It's only 3-4hours from me. I will be getting a hotel and staying the weekend. Any other members planning on attending? Maybe we can get a dinner together.

The last one I attended was Pittsburgh a few years back. I did meet Jljones there when I bought a 1911 hammer from him at the Apex booth Big Grin

I plan on going. My sister lives just outside of Atlanta. It's a 10 hour drive for me.

We'll be there in the GGI booth this year.

Booth numbers haven't been assigned yet, but GGI will have two booths. The website shows booth numbers to be assigned "mid-January".

I'll be going to the show. I've never been to one before but since it's in my backyard I won't pass up the opportunity this year.

Sort of like SHOT but no decisions makers are there. And since they allow the general public you get some direct to consumer companies that wouldn't have a booth at SHOT.

The floor is free for NRA members, but there are events that cost money and lets not forget parking.

You can find all the exhibitors and events here:

You just have to show your NRA membership to get in. If it has lapsed, they will gladly allow to re-up at the door.

The show is neat from the aspect that you can buy things from the vendors at the show, as to where SHOT is strictly prohibited. Most companies run "show specials", to where you can buy selected products at a discount. Some discounts are pretty good, some are really good, and some not so much. Surefire ran a banging special last year, and it was nearly 50 percent off of their Scout light line of weapon lights, for instance. Some of their other products weren't as good, but still discounted.

It is a good time, to say the least.

I'd venture to say that our booth will be the SIGforum hang out this year.

The Texas de Brazil thread got me thinking. There a Fogo de Chao in Atlanta. If people want to get dinner that might be a good option for a large party.

I would suggest pre-registering though. The line at the booths are long, and typically the tickets to events are sold out by the time the show starts.

If you have never been, it is worth going to.

If you are a current member, entry is free. If not you can join right at the gate for a one year (or longer) membership and go in.

I have been the past 2 times it has been held in St Louis.
