Any alternatives that you are happy with?
I'm looking at SparkPost.
Anyone using it?

Thanks!

I have no experience using any of them. But I notice lots of people using Constant Contact.

I was recently looking at SparkPost but did not get into an in-depth review.

Mailchimp and SparkPost are on different levels. If you're a small business sending out emails and want the email creation process to be straightforward, I think Mailchimp or something like Constant Contact will work for you.

If you want to get into the real nitty-gritty and have a lot more flexibility to create what you envision, SparkPost may be appropriate.

SparkPost originally caught my eye due to their pricing. That said, it looked a lot more complex to create a template and email. They certainly may have features you might need depending on your business requirements. This may be fine for you, but for almost all of my clients creating emails, SparkPost would be a no-go due to the complexity.

I have a couple of clients using Constant Contact, but it's on a level with Mailchimp and does not have all the individual nuts and bolts of SparkPost.

Before selecting a solution, my suggestion would be to define the business requirements you have. Then find the solution that meets those requirements.

I'm also curious as to what requirements you have were not met by Mailchimp. Or maybe problems you had with them?

Evil exists. You can not negotiate with, bribe or placate evil. You're not going to be able to have it sit down with Dr. Phil for an anger management session either.

Ok signed up with Constant Contact
They actually have people to talk to!
Transferred all my data for me and it gives me more flexibility than Mail chimp. cost a little more, but that's ok.

Crokett, My broadcast list is 5% of yours (I wish I had that many...)

Thanks to all for your input

I’d never heard of an “email broadcast site” before. I learn something from SigForum every day.

Just an FYI, I hate and despise every business which has ever sold my email to either of those two companies.

Me too!
I only send to people that have ever bought something from me. I think anything else is an intrusion on people's privacy.
