mark123Met with my son’s new nephrologist yesterday
We’re back home and Marky is resting. I don’t think he’s tired from the treatment. He’s more fatigued from sitting all day in one position.

He’s his normal self. We just have to get some blood tests to make sure his creatinine isn’t spiking but that will most likely be after the next infusion on April 1.

6gunsGlad to hear that, Mark. Hope April 1 goes as well!

10X-ShooterI can relate to some of those issues. I have CKD with the one kidney I have left. Both have been abused by kidney stones and surgeries for them. Surgeon knicked the renal artery on my left during a PCNL surgery and that almost killed me literally. My numbers keep going back and forth between stage 2 and 3. To further add to the problem I have long term reactive arthritis and osteoarthritis but can’t take NSAIDs. For now all I can take is my daily sulfasalazine but I know they’ll cut that off one day. High blood pressure from the lost kidney and complicated by pain. I don’t have any experience with your sons specific CKD but best thing I can advise is find a great Dr that cares. Most of my care is managed throughthe VA now but I still see my primary outside Dr out of pocket because he’ll always advise the beat thing for me and listen and address everything. Been seeing him for a long time and it’s nice to have that 2nd opinion. My Nephrologist has an accent and she’s ok but I just don’t know about her yet. Your son may be able to communicate how he feels about that part of it and that may help give him a voice. Very proud to see your care and concern for him. Great job!

Hi mark123,
Mark's labs show his urine protein is in remission, good news.
His kidney # cr may be up due to low bp.
Will recheck blood work prior to next visit BMP.
Goal BP > 110/80 bp meds should be HELD if
BP < 110/80 before medication. I will also sent this to his group home.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks
Michelle RN.
