I like Steiner, and the ease of visiting the factory in Braunschweig and collecting a pair of refurbed top-of-the-line ex-military spec items cannot be overlooked. That 50% saving from new is a great persuader.

For carry I like Leupold Mojave 10x50.

Nikon is also great, esp Monarch line.
Also Vortex and Steiner are good. Steiner is super rugged for hunting and military use.

These are all a definite step up from Bushnell etc., but way less money than Zeiss, Swarovski, Leica.


Not sure, but I don't think Leupold binos are made in the US anymore.
