Y'know, it seems to me that anyone who becomes a lawyer knows way before they even begin to take up the task that lawyers are not universally loved in this society and that there is a very good reason there is an entire category for lawyer jokes. And that being the case, I would assume anyone who wants to maintain their sanity as a lawyer would take the scant love and the jokes in stride.

It's unfortunate that you seem to have taken personally my derision for your profession. And y'know, if you've paid attention, I'm the guy who pipes up from time to time when members are upset that some slug's lawyer is trying to mount some kind of ridiculous defense. I say "Everyone needs an advocate at some point in their life", but you don't remember that part. You only show up when you think I'm gunning for your profession.

Here's an idea- how 'bout you allow me the privilege of having my own opinions on the subject of lawyers and their behavior, and the privilege of stating those opinions in this venue when I so choose? Or is that too much to ask?

The problem is, if a potential juror had no idea who he was... after hearing the earlier potential jurors questioned, now they do know who he is.
