He's always seemed like a good guy, and he's seen racism. Remember when he sent us to game 7 vs Boston? Hundreds of people tweeted at/about him being a bigger.

I hope he reconsiders. Not sure if he's an American or Canadian, not that matters.

He did, he won't be taking a knee.

Anything else is a slap in my face. Good bye Green Bay Packers. You were the one team, owned by the people, that I thought would get it.

^This, plus 1000. The GBP fan extension isn't being answered and the VM is full. This response needs to be shouted from the roof tops. If Aaron wants unity, then he without sin can cast the first stone and he can begin to honor his father and mother again, by at least speaking to them.

I've spent thousands on memorabilia and been in Lambeau, but not again, unless they get their s*** straight, tonight, and keep it that way.

Yep, tonight's the night I decide if I will watch another NFL game. If there is any kneeling while the anthem plays I will watch the rest of the game and note who the advertisers are. After the game I will contact them letting them know I will not be purchasing their products in the future.

I think a counter protest would be a great idea.

Instead of waiting until next year for people to voice their opinion by not buying their normal season ticket, they should demand an immediate refund for the balance on the tickets they already have.

Thousands of fans in each city doing this would defiantly get someone's attention.

It doesn't really matter though. As someone said before, they've already screwed the pooch.

This image should be displayed everywhere these days-- if you have Facebook, or Twitter or any other social media. Three of these men were killed on Iwo Jima, so raising this flag was one of their last acts on earth. And because of them, and that flag for which they laid down their lives, we are not all speaking German or Japanese and living as slaves.

Look at that image and then think of the assholes who are disrespecting that flag, and disrespecting the memory of these men, and millions of others, men and women, living and dead.

Ungrateful, ignorant assholes.

Both Ward and Subban are gonna school these NFL dummies on how to handle this.

They've protected their league from all this BS and refocused people on the issue.

FB post by the widow of a classmate of mine (at NAPS and USNA) - CDR Pat Dunn died on 9/11 in the Pentagon...

"This is my response to a video that was posted on a friend’s FB page. The video bashed Trump and praised the NFL kneeling for the National Anthem. You are welcome to share this.

These millionaire athletes can find another platform other than the National Anthem to show their dislike. You can ask any other Gold Star Family, and they will tell you that the National Anthem and the American Flag are the most sacred to them. We all stood at our loved ones grave, while Taps was played, and watched as that beautiful flag was removed from their casket, folded and given to us.

My husband did not choose to die, but he did choose to defend his beloved country and, if need be, he would die for it. So this guy doesn’t get it. The National Anthem at a NFL game is not the place to protest. In fact, how about they take their millions and go into the depths of Chicago, Detroit or Los Angeles and help those who are killing each other simply because of the group they hang out with. Why don’t they request a meeting with President Trump and come together to make things right. There are so many other ways to protest than to demean the flag that comes home over a casket of the men and women who died defending it.

The last image I have of my husband and I alone is that of me standing in a dark room of a funeral home looking at his flag draped casket. It was the most gut wrenching sight. The sorrow I had in my heart is something I wish on no one. I knew that marrying a Naval Officer would come with risks, but I never dreamt it would be on America soil and in the Pentagon. I was left with the great responsibility of raising our unborn daughter, I was three months pregnant at the time of his death, to love and respect the United States of America the same way her father did. I have done that and I will never let anyone tarnish that responsibility. That is why we stand for our National Anthem and our Flag."

The Packers already announced they will not be kneeling. Don't know about the Bears. The Packers issued a statement saying they will stand with their arms intertwined like the threads of your favorite jersey. Who comes up with this tripe?

I'm looking forward to not watching, ever again.
First NHL player to do it that's it I'm out the same as NFL. I've been a NHL fan much longer than a NFL fan.

I don't think this is going to hurt the NFL that bad. Too many people have their entire identity tied up in this crap.
Personally I think if you need one more game to watch to see what's going to happen you have no real plans to stop watching. You're looking for a excuse to keep watching.

I’m done watching the NFL and won’t let my kids start the habit. This interlocking arms crap the GBP are doing is simply a cowardly attempt to appease all sides. BS. If you’re against the flag, I’m not going to go out and fight you or hate you.... hell I’d be busy all day and it’s your right to act like an ass. But I won’t endorse or accept the behavior, and I certainly won’t pay to watch it. Nor let my children be influenced by you.

The NFL has crossed a line and I’m done forever, nothing will bring me or my family back to watching.

The Denver Broncos announced the "entire" team will stand for the National Anthem.

http://dailycaller.com/2017/09...ill-no-longer-kneel/

Hmmmmmmm

We shall see, and I wonder if this is from the backlash and the impending backlash, or financial losses they are seeing?

They sure are keeping with their motives, you know saving the oppressed and stuff like that, or wait they are united, or maybe they will...

The fact that several teams have announced in advance that the entire team will stand, seems to indicate the NFL management has been laying down the law.

Wouldn't you like to have heard those closed door sessions.

Let's see if the players respond to "direction".

Ironic that the NFL and owners trashed President Trump for demanding that the players stand, and now we hear entire teams will stand.

The owners are shitting their pants (MHO)

The question is if the football addicts will come back while the BLMers make a less noticeable protest. I know that most of the sports fans didn't care about the kneeling in the progressive hellhole that I live in.

Both individuals and corporate entities are losing respect:

Even though my overall respect for the NFL has been declining for several years, some teams were viewed more favorably. The Steelers were one of those old time NFL franchises everyone liked and respected. The Rooneys seemed to run a class act organization. Tomlin seemed to be a stand up coach. That is until he threw Alejandro Villanueva under his personal bus. Villanueva's apology was very accurately characterized as a hostage video.

The San Antonio Spurs' Greg Popavich: He certainly isn't a shy one, his politics are well known as liberal. However as a coach, he is without peer. But TRUMP!, he now has to hector and lecture us about the state of affairs.

Lots of institutions and individuals are electing to cut their own throats, so be it.....

From what I understand, the Broncos are doing the arm-sex thing (linking arms instead of hands over hearts).

I don't care. These people mean nothing to me. I will no longer watch and will no longer patronize their sponsors/partners. I have told the sponsors this as well.

I do miss Diet Mt. Dew (haven't had one all week, it is my "coffee"), but I am better off. I also stopped using my Visa cards and instead I am using cash. Now I need to find alternatives so I can dump the other sponsors (just been avoiding using their products since the weekend).

I am a season ticket holder to the Columbus Blue Jackets (NHL). I have already spoken to my rep about a refund or selling my tickets and dropping my PSL if they start with the shenanigans. He has stated that others are calling as well as to what course of action can be taken if NHL players start this shit.

Life is good...

report the Steelers will stand.

Now we have this:

http://philadelphia.cbslocal.c...dell-meeting-anthem/

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell held a round-table meeting with roughly 25 owners, league executives and players on Tuesday night to discuss the national anthem demonstrations.

New York Giants linebacker Jonathan Casillas said the summit at the league’s headquarters in New York lasted roughly two hours and was attended by several of the NFL’s most prominent owners, including John Mara of the Giants, Robert Kraft of the Patriots and Art Rooney II of the Steelers. NFL executive vice president Troy Vincent also attended along with eight players from five teams.

Casillas said the group talked about what to do to move forward and how to approach the “whole kneeling situation.”

“It was a whole bunch of opinions shared,” Casillas said. “There was nothing we decided we’re going to do collectively. I think it was a very conducive meeting.”

“The commissioner believed with all the owners here for committee meetings it was important to bring in some players and hear directly from them,” McCarthy said in responding to an email from The Associated Press. “While the conversations will remain private, they were very informative and instructive.”

very informative. hmmmmm

The NFL powers that be -- too little too late. This shit should have been stamped out at the VERY FIRST occurrence. Having to even discuss this is idiotic. This is not something you discuss and see which way the wind is blowing.

No, even if there is large public sentiment behind kneeling (which there isn't), you do what's right and RESPECT THE FLAG AND ANTHEM, ALWAYS!

Without the Flag and all it represents, you wouldn't be here, fuckwads. If you can't do that, GTFO.
