So there's a good chance I'll be spending more time in this area. Any leads on a good gun club/private/public ranges where I can practice? I'm used to shooting at my local range here in WV which is a private club that allows unlimited use of the facilities in whichever way I deem necessary, so no rules on drawing, setting up drills, etc. I'd prefer a club that is similar. Hence would prefer an outdoor range as most indoor ranges are very restrictive. Thanks for any advise. "You have the right not to be killed..." The Clash, "Know Your Rights"

Just had a head hunter call me about a gig in Murrels Inlet. And with snow on the ground, oh I was so tempted.

Four indoor ranges come to mind (north to south): - The Gun Store in Conway. Good range, good prices on guns, nice folks. -707 Guns on (surprise) Rt. 707. It's OK, owner's a little eccentric. -Coastal Sports in Murrells Inlet. Nice 25 yard range, owner's kinda grumpy. -Carolina Custom Firearms in Pawleys Island. Nice 25 yard range and gun store, friendly staff. If you become a Georgetown County resident you can join the Sheriff's range for $25/year. Very nice outdoor range. Can shoot rifles out to 100 yards (if no one on the pistol portion. There is a private gun club you can join out past the Sheriff's range, but I don't know the particulars. clarior hinc honos.
