Yeah, I put Red on my trailer hitch ball. I wanted to change it and I must have beat on it with an impact wrench and used the longest breaker bar I could make and it's still on there. It would be easier to weld more material on there and grind it to shape than to get that bolt off. | |||

A lot of heat and it will come right off, you need an acetylene torch and 30-60 seconds of good heat and it will break free. | |||

If you have anything with Loctite and you can't remove it with the correct tools you have not applied the proper heat. All Loctite has a temperature sensitivity. “So in war, the way is to avoid what is strong, and strike at what is weak.” | |||

Drip some acetone down into the threads and let it soak in. Use a cheater bar on your allen wrench. | |||

A cheater on a 3/32" allen? I can twist it in half with my hands alone.  | |||

I've done it. Just make sure the little pipe nipple is long enough to reach the right angle in the allen wrench and also stick out beyond the end to provide the extra leverage. | |||

They also make allen key sockets and you can put quite a bit of torque on them compared to the little allen wrench or I have used a small set of vice grips on allen keys as well. | |||

For a real challenge try Green Loctite. Usually needs machined out. ___________________________________________________________ Your right to swing your fist stops just short of the other person's nose... | |||
