mojojojoNeed better quality picture/image for painting
I’m trying to surprise my wife with a painting for Valentine’s Day. I’d like to have this picture painted but the image I have isn’t of sufficient quality for the painter to use.
I’m NOT anywhere near capable enough to clean this up to a high(er) resolution image but was hoping someone here might either be willing or point me to a “make a picture high resolution for dummies” link.
Thanks in advance

6gunsTry a different painter. Seriously. IMO, there is plenty enough detail for an artist to recreate that in his own way.

mark123You can't really increase resolution or improve quality. The information just isn't there. You can increase the size and try a sharpen filter but you're not going to get a nice image.

mojojojoOK - thanks anyway. I guess it's not like the movies where you can run a program and get some hi-def image! lol.
Yes, I'll look for another painter. I agree that there seems to be enough clarity there to work with, especially as it's more of a comic or cartoon drawing than a real photo of a person.

KravasheraHere is a slightly larger version of the original with no text on it. I have not been able to identify the creator yet.

RogueJSKI agree that any competent artist should be able to work up a reasonably similar painting relatively easily.
FYI, looking at the sharper version posted by Kravashera, that picture was specifically drawn to make it look a bit blurry, out of focus, or low resolution. It's the style, not a result of the picture being of poor quality. Hence the blurry edges on the couple.

mojojojoThank you so much Kravashera!! That’s a much better image!
Thanks also for the clarification Rogue! I’d never noticed that
