Just like animation, only more realistic. Wink

I find it incredible that the industry that creates Illusions, thrives on fantasy, steals ideas, does remakes, is now worried about something not being real.

To me Bugs Bunny and Roadrunner cartoons are more real than most of the recent movies like Marvel Comics. Quite rich, eh?

Eventually all the only fans models will be AI, they are already out there. At least the AI actors will have no need to think their political views are superior to everyone else’s.

Tilly should join the SAG-AFTRA union and tell the Hollywood elitists to GFT’s!

LOL!!

After the two decades of sheer slop being poured out of Hollywood, I have a hard time feeling really bad for them. I get the point, really, I do. It's an ethical consideration, and there's a whole genre of books and film that has been wrestling with more or less this exact moral dilemma for decades that we call science fiction. The death of creativity and art by humans could actually happen.

But in the end, the people crying about it the loudest have become lazy and entitled - they think they have ownership of the medium, and that's just not the truth.

Somehow I suspect that ai would be easier to work with than the pissy prima donnas that pass for actors/actresses these days.

From the Variety article:

Whoopi Goldberg opened an episode of “The View” by doubting an AI “actor” like Tilly could ever replace a human performer, adding: “You can always tell them from us. We move differently, our faces move differently, our bodies move differently.”

That’s right, no AI can spew non-stop venom and hatred like a washed up hag actress can.

Regardless, I'm confident that Tilly is extremely liberal......

Plenty of other jobs are going to be replaced by AI - why should theirs be any different?

Once AI improves a little more you won't be able to tell the difference in a movie.

Tilly won't be asking for a 42 million dollar salary and daily foot massages from a Tibetan monk, and then go out and publicly make stupid political remarks that end up tanking the movie.

Tilly is relatively inexpensive and risk-free for the studio. Tilly will never age, never die. Tilly requires no stunt doubles, no insurance, doesn't flub lines or fail to show up on the set, nor argue with the director and quit the film, will never sue the studio. Tilly will improve with time as the technology matures. Before too long, the technology will be perfected and it will be nearly impossible for even experts to discern between Tilly and a real human.

Hollywood has every reason to be scared.

^^^^

That's what I was thinking, no paying off the grips who get harassed and raped by the lead of the movie, no more actors saying dumb shit they have to answer for. And the cost savings has got to be out of this world.

The AI characters have better personalities and don’t spout off on political bullshit every time someone points a camera at them.

All in all, the AI is a better class of actor.

Replacement labor. The elite were all for it when they were insulated from it. Now……not so much.

I'm not really worried about animated actors/actresses. I'm worried about seeing myself rob a convenience store in AI, at a police station.

Also, wasn't there a Pacino movie called Simone regarding the use of an AI actress.

They're just mad because they can't have a visit with her on the casting couch.
