spunk639I think it's real simple. Threatening the President is a Federal offense, investigate the threat, develop probable cause then arrest and prosecute him, regardless if he is a Professor or a Janitor; also it doesn't matter what party or whom the President is.

TMatsI did a little further research on this story too. Maischak (BTW, that doesn't appear to be German to me) has now apologized and deleted his Twitter account.
The university president appreciates him taking "accountability" for his actions. He goes on to say that the investigation continues.
Apparently, saying you're sorry and deleting your Twitter account is what passes for "accountability" nowadays.
