The web version of a local news station posts the radar pictures--I just use that.

I use weather.us - you can check out forecasts using different models.

WeatherUnderground started acting strange for me about six weeks ago. I cannot get most functions to work anymore. Have it on three devices and each one exhibits different problems. Also noticed several stations that I used to check are no longer available...guessing they didn’t want to fool with the issues anymore. Still looking for replacement. Will check some you guys have mentioned.

I believe all of the data comes from NWS and the NHC. If you want personal forecasts for weather there are private companies that can give more precise information for your particular area. For example the utility companies hire private companies to do their hurricane projections for them so they can line up the necessary logistics.
Frankly what the Weather Channel offers is more entertainment and fluff. They did manage to snag the former head of the NHC who now looks like he is taking amphetamines and behaving breathlessly at times whenever there is any tropical weather blossoming.

I use windfinder or NOAA generally, occasionally Buoy weather. But I'm generally looking for wave height/wave period. Versus other things, although wind speed and direction play a major role in that. Temperature doesn't except in the winter.

The NWS will let you input GPS coordinates to get a forecast specific to your area.

Seriously?
I tried it in Alaska and Houston. It has a nice interface but both locations they must have had their data tied to the wrong NWS data streams. For example, had a lunch date in an area with lots of outdoor stuff. Came out of restaurant and despite 0% rain forecast it was already raining and continues rain for hours. Happened repeatedly with WeatherBug, and when it did I’d open other weather apps (Apple Weather and Accuweather) which would all have the correct current weather and forecast.
Accuweather might have ads but at least they connect to the right data streams and their GPS based 2-hour forecast for your location is a unique and useful feature (ie I don’t care what the forecast is for the 6 counties comprising the Houston metropolitan area, I care if I’m going to experience a rain, hail, and lightning playing the back 9).
Websites I like too:
Spaghettimodels.com - awesome for hurricanes
Ventusky - great for see the flow paths of weather
Aviation Weather on usairnet.com - there is a small airfield nearby and the forecast is specific to that airfield (ie not Houston metropolitan area) and info small plane pilots beedThis message has been edited. Last edited by: tatortodd,

WeatherBug has worked well for me in all areas of NC. I've certainly not tried everything listed but it has the most accurate forecast I've found.
