Many of us have various firearms for various reasons. If you had to come up with the main reason why you had firearm(s), what would it be? Please state what your reason is if it does not fit the the categories of the poll.

H&K-Guy

Question:
Just like the title says. What is your primary reason for owning firearms?

Choices:
Self-Defense-Home
Self-Defense-Carry
Collecting
Hunting
Protection From Animals
Sport Shooting
Sentimental concerns

I didn't vote because you don't have an 'all of the above' option which would have been my answer.

Self defense is the most applicable answer for me but I have 101 reasons why I am a firearms enthusiast/collector.

Didn't vote, because there are no reasons to list SD-Home and SD-Carry in separate categories. SD is SD, and it's a human right, period. Wink

Many reasons, but I'd have to say defending myself and my own is a god given right.

Home and self defense are a given but they are primarily a hobby for me. I sort fall into most of those categories but primarily I am a hobbiest.

I've been fascinated by them since I was a little kid.

I believe in the God given natural right of self defense.

I like shooting them.

I like hunting.

I like people who like guns, shooting, and hunting.

Pretty much every reason you have and then some.

One (or more) of each.

You also left out:

  • Customization host.
  • To see if I could build one from a box of parts.
  • The guy said I could have it because there are no magazines to be found. Had to make one.

    So, yeah, as Jimbo said:

  • All of the above.
