Anyone have an Equinox? Read reviews that the engine doesn't have much power and consumes oil somewhat. Appreciate it. GOD/Israel, family, 2nd amendment rights: in that order. Tennessee -ELOHIM IS MY GOD!

Our office has 2 one pretty basic and one higher level equipped. Both are 2017's I personally don't care for either but there hasn't been any issues with them.

Grandparents got a 2018 to replace their 2012 (I think). I hated the 2012 it was horrible to drive underpowered and front wheel drive. Their 2018 has the turbo motor (an absolute must) and AWD. They have had it for about a year now and are very pleased. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. Junk. Ex g/f bought one new 2 years ago and dealer couldn’t find a dash rattle when brand new. She had it 3 months and traded it in on a Pilot. Equinox is one of the worst SUV’s you can buy as fas as quality is concerned. ——————————————— The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Psalm 14:1

The wife has a 2018 GMC Terrain so almost an Equinox. It's got 16K on the clock so far. It had to go in for a recall to have the transmission reprogrammed but other than that it's been trouble free. As stated previously by 92LX, it has the 1.5 turbo engine which is a huge improvement over the previous 2.4 NA engine. Lots more power and better fuel economy. If you see winter driving conditions, AWD is a godsend. Only gripe I have is it has auto shutoff with no defeat switch. That "feature" drives me nuts. This message has been edited. I have a 2019 Equinox for a company car. Its AWD, pretty nice. First GM product I have owned. I just have 5000 miles on it. My wife and I really like it so far Don't weep for the stupid, or you will be crying all day

One of my BIL's bought one brand new a year ago. I've ridden in it and think it's a damn nice car. .....never marry a woman who is mean to your waitress.

We have them as company cars. Being free transport is all they are good for. Would never pay money for one. Smaller and slower than the last generation. The engine is a total dog and start-stop tech is infuriating. Get a v6 model from the last generation. Way better vehicle.

Lord, any issues with it using oil? Have to add any? How is power? GOD/Israel, family, 2nd amendment rights: in that order. Tennessee -ELOHIM IS MY GOD!

I had a 2010 and a 2012. I found them adequate. I bought both used and each of them went to 140K miles before I sold them. My granddaughter is still driving the 2012. I would recommend the Toyota RAV4 or Honda CR-V in that size range. armadill0

No loss of oil. Haven't done any maintenance yet. The start / stop is a bit jarring at first but doesn't bother me now. Its not a powerful car, but at at the same time I haven't missed any power either. I've had large V8s where you can feel the power to spare. This wont give you that feeling, but it hasn't left me wanting any. Good family car so far, in fact we have been discussing buying it for my son when I turn it in in a couple of years Don't weep for the stupid, or you will be crying all day
