It seems appropriate to stop here for a second and acknowledge something I ignore, usually. One hundred thousand posts for me works out to right at a dozen posts a day, every day for just shy of 23 years. If nothing else, such numbers certainly indicate a devotion to this forum. SIGforum is my virtual home and always shall be. It means so much to me to have a place to go each day, where the world still makes sense. I want all of you to know that I take nothing for granted in this place, and though it gets lost in the day-to-day, this forum is to me as vital and important a meeting place as it is to many of you.
There is no doubt in my mind that I have grown as an administrator. In years past, I had a lead foot on the throttle but I have developed a more fuel-efficient style. Of course, that's not too difficult to do, once you've developed a reputation for not taking crap from anyone.
The significance of a hundred thousand posts is that the number serves to demonstrate that in this forum, ownership/administration is here every day, and not only monitors forum activity, but is also an active participant in this online community. I believe this presence- of which members are aware- is one of the things which sets SIGforum apart from the crowd. I think it's reassuring to members to know that if someone tries to give them a hard time, a forum authority is present to settle matters.
So, thanks to all of you, and special thanks to those of you who came to my aid this year. You just don't know what you did for me. Merry Christmas to all SIGforum members, their friends and family, and Merry Christmas to those of you who read the forum but who have never registered.

Merry Christmas Para! I say congratulations, but thank you, is more how I feel. I will say congratulations also though, as you've done something amazing here. It defies the odds, and it sets the bar.
In my estimation, the Lounge is a better plumbing forum than plumbing forums. And one could repeat that statement with dozens of categories that I could easily think of of the top of my head. And the vast majority of posts, - nearly every one without fail, is rendered with kindness and an intent to help, or to make everyone laugh. Which, also helps these days.
I wish you, and all our SF brothers and sisters, a Merry Christmas and a warm and happy New Year.

Merry Christmas back at ya Para, and everyone else. Yes, a 100k post count is quite impressive, especially when someone is not a post whore.
