WashPo brought this stuff into the political arena. I wonder if they ever thought a Democrat Senator would get hammered like this a mere week later.
The media is FINALLY starting to throw Bill Clinton under the bus too and admit that they treated his accusers like dog shit.
It's quite amazing to watch all this unfold.

So, you're saying he gives everyone in the Senate a black eye?
Heeheehee.

Smell the Hypocrisy! - "None of Franken’s colleagues on either side of the aisle have suggested that the senator should resign."
Of course, you all remember when McCain was accused of having an affair and how he stepped down immediately...

They wouldn't bother except that they feel they will be better able to get Trump without the Clinton hypocrisy still clinging to them.

Off the record, on the QT, and very hush hush.

That Slate headline is fascinating. How have Dems ever had any credibility on sexual harassment post Bill Clinton?
“People have to really suffer before they can risk doing what they love.” –Chuck Palahnuik
There is no rational reason to doubt the truth of Tweeden's accusations, no legitimate defense of Franken's actions, and no ambiguity here at all: Franken should resign from the Senate immediately. Democrats should call for him to step down straightaway. This revelation is a test of the Democratic Party's consistency, honesty, and decency. If Democrats wish to preserve whatever moral standing they have to day, they must exhort Franken to leave the Senate with no hesitation or reservations.
Franken, it seems, won't go quietly. His first response to Tweeden's article is a case study in pseudo-apologetic denial, an effort to gaslight Tweeden while purporting to express regret...Touching a woman's breasts without her consent is not a joke. It is a crime. Franken is not really admitting guilt or apologizing to Tweeden. he is laying the groundwork for his own defense.

Franken has issued a second statement responding to Tweeden's allegations....He has called for a Senate ethics investigation into his own behavior - which indicates that he has no intention of resigning quickly. Instead, he appears to be attempting to rehabilitate his reputation by expressing penance and desire to grow.(Hey, just like Harvey Weinstein! - IC
I think we may get to see what happens when Democrats are held to the same standards Republicans are.
I also wonder if this isn't a moment where those Dems suffering from Tea Party envy decide they have a chance to go on the offensive against the DNC "Establishment".
ETA: Meanwhile, back at the ranch...The House Republican tax bill quietly passed today. Is a submarine campaign really a submarine campaign if no one is paying attention because they're too wrapped up in the story of a Democratic Senator being accused of sexual assault to notice the passage of major legislation through the House?
Was just about to post the same article, some of the images & gifs on there of Joe Biden touching young girls - the look on their faces appear they were not comfortable at all.
The ones that shocked me most are linked at a second article on Ace of Spades site.
According to Big League Politics’ Cassandra Fairbanks, a Secret Service agent who spoke on condition of anonymity revealed that Biden “would mess with every single woman or teen,” and that a Christmas get-together at the VP’s house had to be canceled “because Biden would grope all of our wives and girlfriend’s asses.”
He also said that the Service often had to protect female agents from him and that Biden was prone to parading around the VP residence late at night with no clothes on.
“I mean, Stark naked… Weinstein level stuff,” said the agent.
During one alleged incident in 2009, Biden cupped the breast of a Secret Service agent’s girlfriend during a photo, prompting the agent to shove Biden and almost hit him. The agent was subsequently suspended for a week, according to the source.
