zoom6zoomI would love to see this asshole taken down hard. But seeing that Dems get indicted or even leave a girl to die in a river and stay in office, I'm not holding my breath.

Yes, that's what we need around here, guys- more cynicism. It helps. It's what everyone wants to hear, and since there's no chance that you're wrong, let's have more of that shit.
I don't want to listen to people surrender at the beginning of battles. Just who in the world wants to listen to defeatist talk all the time?
So, let's have some more of that stuff, please.

linerChuck Schumer just asked the ethics committee to investigate. Can't have a team member taking the heat off the other side can we?
November 16, 2017, 12:26 PM
Il Cattivo^^^ It's not even that. It's so bad that the best the rest of the Dems can do is to try to avoid talking about it by claiming that "they don't want to interfere with an ongoing investigation". Of course that wouldn't apply to Moore, because he's not only not in the Senate (yet), but because he isn't under investigation!

Al Franken joked about raping Leslie Stahl in 1995 New York Magazine articlequote:
“'I give the pills to Leslie Stahl. Then when Leslie is passed out, I take her to the closet and rape her.' Or ‘That’s why you never see Lesley until February.' Or, ‘When she passes out. I put her in various positions and take pictures of her,’” Franken was quoted saying.

ChicagoSigManIs there anything better than seeing smug, annoying liberals torched by a feeding frenzy that they themselves created???
I would say there is a 50/50 chance, if not better, that Al resigns (or more accurately, that the Dems force Al to resign while a liberal MN governor can appoint another liberal replacement).

Not with your clothes on, no.

ChicagoSigManWe need a generic "Who's Next in the Sexual Assault Game" thread....It's getting hard to keep up. Now it's Sly Stallone's turn. It won't be long before it will be easier to list who hasn't sexually assaulted anyone in Hollywood or Washington.

And reset a seniority counter?
When Republicans get caught up in unseemly behavior, they tearfully apologize to everyone and resign in disgrace. When God Damned Commies get caught, they deny everything, then shift blame if possible, and when cornered, take a quick stay in a rehab facility somewhere so as not to interfere unduly with getting back to work on the people’s business.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.
When you had the votes, we did things your way. Now, we have the votes and you will be doing things our way. This lesson in political reality from Lyndon B. Johnson
"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible." - Justice Janice Rogers Brown November 16, 2017, 01:08 PM

That's why I give it 50/50...but this is a new era. I don't know if the old old playbook will work for sexual assaults. We'll see.
