It doesn't look like she was pulled over. Looks like they rear-ended the cop car and didn't want to stick around for the supervisor.

She didn't seem all that bad to me. If there was not damage they should have taken the information and let her on her way to the airport. No need to detain her for no reason.

When we had accidents involving police vehicles, we had the HP do the report. Ole girl would have been locked up for interference with him when he got there, if she was acting like that

I'm thinking if I was the boss of the entire place and I said it was ok to leave I would be pissed as well.

I could not be a cop because I would have slow walked the fuck out of it because of her mouth.

She belongs to the I'm a specail crowd. I understand trying to make a flight but come on you driver just hit a marked cop car. Maybe it was just a tap but you still hit a marked police car.

The only person I have respect for there besides the officers was the driver that hit the cop car. At least he was quiet and didn't try and tell everyone who special he was.

Point of fact, you should see all the damn paperwork we have to do when a city/department vehicle is involved in a collision. There is just slightly LESS paperwork if there are no injuries or damages. All of which has been implemented by the administration (people like the chancellor in the above video- you know at some point she signed off on the procedures, finance department, and insurance carrier. We have to get the names of of everyone who was in the vehicle at the time of collision or witnesses.

True story, I worked an auto accident involving an EMPTY Bi-State bus on its way back to the garage. 31 people later showed up claiming to have been on the bus at the time of the accident. Oh and they brought witnesses with them.

Yeah. Most Chancellors of major Univerities have chauffeurs. Outside of the football coaches these folks make the Big Bucks along with the requisite Perks. I agree the Board of Trustees and alumni are not likely to be pleased with her performance. She handled it poorly and this will reflect upon her ability to handle much more difficult situations.

Unless Jersey is experiencing snow in July, this incident happened sometime back. I would be interested in knowing the reaction of the University to this incident. In case I forgot to mention some of these folks pull down 4 million per year. The median is somewhere around 300 grand, not including benefits.


CORRECTION AND ADDENDUM: Did some searching. It turns out she is not Chancellor of Rutgers, but Rutger, Newark campus. BIG DIFFERENCE in salary and perks. It apparently was also the CAMPUS cops she was yelling at. Again, no excuse but somewhat different than local Newark cops. Her salary may be six figures, but not much more. She seems to still have her job, but her opportunities for advancement I am sure are limited at this point.

I Checked Rutgers website and there is a new guy as the chancellors office....I guess this happens back in the winter based on the video and she got sacked for her antics...????
