Striker in waiting

| Aussie style licorice (Wallaby or any other brand) is not real licorice, IMO. It’s like licorice for people who don’t like licorice. Not bad, just not licorice. -Rob

You got that right, so good. I like most types of licorice, which by the way is black, the other colors and flavors is just candy NOT licorice. A few year ago, spent an hour in the Licorice International store in Lincoln Ne. Sampled all different types from around the world. Partial to the Scandinavian brands. Think I walked out of the store with $40 of licorice. Don't much care for the real salty versions. |

Sure, and Beeman’s Pepsin Gum, by the same company. OK, I get it, real licorice is made from the licorice root. Real or not, red “licorice” has been so named throughout my considerably long life.

| Wow, licorice ice cream. I haven't seen that since baskin robbins in the 70's (I think?). That and daiquiri ice cream. I think licorice, to me, is an acquired taste for which I've never really come to appreciate. I'll eat it if presented but not something I would go out and buy. It's interesting that it's added to smoking products.

I remember going to Baskin Robins as a kid and seeing the licorice flavored ice cream. It was black as pitch. |

| Black only. There really isn't any other licorice! It is pretty good.
