Everyone is spying on TikTok...and Facebook and Instagram and Twitter and every other social media site including this one. Everyone is listening to your conversations through Siri, etc. Everyone is paying attention to everything you do.

And by everyone, I mean everyone. From every Government Intelligence Agency on the planet to every business or corporation who can afford it, everybody is in everybody's shit.

Give it another twenty or thirty years. You'll see real time data response to everything you do based on everything you've done, everything you've said (whether in public or private-cell phones, smart TV's etc) and everywhere you've gone. Make a comment about being hungry and an entire menu of dining options will pop up your phone before you finish the sentence.

Orwell barely scratched the surface.

You guys are all missing the point here.

When Trump raised the idea that he would ban TikTok because of Chinese surveillance, he got roundly smeared and laughed at and the Chicoms INSISTED they were doing nothing of the sort.

^^ You do realize that is because the CCP pays our media to run their propaganda via China Daily stories and has paid off and compromised many politicians?

Our "leaders" have sold out this country to line their pockets with CCP money.

As Washington Wakes Up to TikTok Threats, The Democrats Launch Their Official Account.

https://thenationalpulse.com/2...ched-tiktok-account/

The Democratic National Committee has officially joined TikTok, a controversial social media platform with deep ties to the Chinese Communist Party, despite advising their own campaigns against joining the Chinese-owned app during the 2020 election cycle.

“We continue to advise campaign staff to refrain from using TikTok on personal devices. If you are using TikTok for campaign work, we recommend using a separate phone and account,” the DNC security team instructed its candidates two years ago.

Despite the warning, the Democratic Party has completed an about-face on the platform, at the same time Washington, D.C. begins to take seriously the threat of spying through the app.

The DNC’s stark reversal comes amidst evidence revealing that the TikTok parent company employs former Chinese Communist Party officials, including individuals with military ties, to executive roles and even grants party members preferential treatment in hiring processes.

The app’s founder also pledged to use ByteDance to “promote socialist core values” and devotion to the Chinese Communist Party in 2018.

TikTok’s threat to national security and data privacy – previously acknowledged by the DNC – prompted the Trump administration to attempt to ban the platform from operating in the U.S. – an effort recently quashed by the Biden White House.

The committee maintains it is employing security precautions such as dedicating individual devices that are isolated from “other DNC assets/processes/businesses as a mitigation to the privacy risk.” The DNC attributed its decision to an effort to reach more voters, particularly younger generations.

The move comes amidst a massive lobbying campaign mounted by TikTok and its parent company ByteDance. Many of the lobbyists and firms hired by the company have ties to Democratic politics and leaders such as Nancy Pelosi.

Internally, TikTok has also hired several Democratic Party alumni, including Obama administration National Security Council members to run its Trust and Safety operations.

TikTok also funds several fact-checking organizations used by other social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, which frequently exercise their censorship capabilities against conservative users and stories critical of the Chinese Communist Party.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) still does not have an account on the platform.

“We do not have any plans to give the Chinese Communist Party our data, nor do we plan to use their spyware,” said RNC spokesperson Nathan Brand.

Roll Eyes Oh look now they are all getting around to admitting that Trump was right all along 2+ years later:

Trump Was Right On TikTok, Top Democrat Senator Admits

One of the Democratic Party’s leading figures, Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.), who is head of the United States Senate intelligence committee, has said former President Donald Trump was right when it came to the security risks around the Chinese-owned TikTok.

“This is not something you would normally hear me say, but Donald Trump was right on TikTok years ago,” said Warner during a visit to Australia, reported The Sydney Moring Herald on Oct. 25.

“If your country uses Huawei, if your kids are on TikTok, if your population uses WeChat as a social media platform, the ability for China to have undue influence is, I think, a much greater challenge and a much more immediate threat than any kind of actual, armed conflict.”

If they're basing their foreign policy and/or defense policy on the fucking idiots that infest TikTok and other 'influencer' type apps, we're in pretty good shape IMHO.

I don't really remember a lot of doubt that the PRC would monitor Tik Tok very closely. I don't think you can call Trump a visionary for calling this one. Everyone knew it.

Sure, the Chinese denied it, but no one believed them.

No one with two functioning neurons to rub together, anyway.

That pretty much leaves out much of today's youth and the entirety of the left Wink

I wonder where a lot of those Tik-Tok challenges come from? The challenges that ask teens to do stupid things. The ones I've been seeing the past year or so have either resulted in broken bones or criminal charges. What is a fast and easy way to get disqualified from military service again?

Wasn't the point not that he was a visionary, but about how the media and D politicians were laughing at Trump over this announcement on TT and the CPR being in bed, and, now echo these very people are expressing the same sentiment they were giving him holy hell over.

There was a time when we taught civics in grade school. Maybe we still do in some schools, to some degree. Just as fundamental to our democracy now.. I think MORE, is that we educate every voting citizen on the phenomenal power of data. People think they can tell what brand of yogurt we like, by the privacy we're giving up. In fact, they can tell every thing about us. More than we know about ourselves. And with enough data, they can predict the behavior of our population. And with enough AI automated/driven mind prisons (social media platforms) at their finger tips, they can drive behavior of our population.

We are the apes at the monolith.

Hell with the broken bones, some need to just do it right and off themselves.
I have workers that watch the Tik Tok shit on break and I always tell them that it rots their brain. These are people in their 30's and 40's also.
Grim outlook for the future if this keeps up.
