Did you read the decision ShneaSig linked here, which demonstrates without question that the Losthorizons.com people you are citing were criminally convicted for making these exact same arguments? Then , in Tax Court, they had to pay all the taxes as well? So they gained absolutely nothing by advancing these arguments, and in fact became criminals, and still had to pay the taxes.

Drop this idea immediately please, for your own sake and everyone else's.

It is like arguing the earth must be flat, because you can't see farther than the horizon and you don't see any curvature. "Think about it" simply does not work here. It will land you in jail, and you will STILL have to pay your taxes.

Please, please, please read that case thoroughly.

So this thread started with a post about a moron peddling some bullshit about a way to beat the tax man. Turns out this guy went to prison for following his own bullshit advice. The prison sentence was never overturned. Some people here are suggesting the moron was right. So I am supposed to sit in a jail cell telling myself that I was right when I follow this bullshit advice?

Seems like it is like a pedestrian crossing a street without looking because they have the right of way...only to get hit by a truck.

Even if the OP is right and we have all been misled...what does it matter if the judge ruling your case is in the "misled" category as well and sends you to prison?

Legally right or wrong on an esoteric theoretical level doesn't matter if the current IRS and legal interpretations in the courts are to convict you and make you pay all the taxes anyway.
