You may be cool, but you're not a Navy Seal/Astronaut cool
I really like this guy's youtube channel, Smarter Every Day. I just came across this episode on some high achievers, ie. seals who became astronauts. These are some amazing guys.

I may or may not have a cousin that was on a underwater boat that may or may not have deployed UDT/SEAL members to some places... but if I did, he would or would not have told me how cool that was.

Maybe someday he'll finally make something of himself.
Impressive self-motivation and drive.
"It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.

Hey, you guys may not be able to compare with them, but think I can. After all, 53 years ago, I was officially appointed "LEADER OF THE GROUP" when I went for my draft physical. I was told that my title was a very important position! (I even got an official certificate with my name on it - and I still have it!
My job was to lead a group of 18-19 yr. olds from one building to another. As a 24 yr-old, they already recognized my leadership abilities. Who knows what rank I might have ended up with if I hadn't flunked the physical due to bad eyesight (legally blind in one eye) and high blood pressure of 185/105. They made me come back with a note from my eye-doctor and three straight days of morning-evening blood pressure checks at the doctor's office. I didn't get to lead the second time on account of they didn't think I had enough eyesight to find the second building.

A pretty high rank officer I suspect!
I hope that you have that blood pressure under control.

Thanks for posting that. Impressive, brave, man. But the thing I took away is the trident, and specifically the Eagle. It’s head is lowered to show humility as part of the ethos. That spoke to me.
