I have lived all over the USA and enjoyed all of the places!

Ended up in Central Florida Ln the Land of the Rat. Yes, it is hot in the summertime, but that is why we have A/C. No income taxes, Republican governor and not a lot of snowflakes.

Northeasterners - please do not move here... you will be like a fish out of water...

We left the Puget Sound area of Washington in 2004 for retirement in Southern Arizona. We have never looked back and I don't like going to Washington even to visit anymore.

LOL good post!

In all seriousness I'm pretty comfortable here in WV so that's where I'm retiring; I've lived here my entire life, here's where my investment real-estate property is, almost no pesky insects, few people, hills and mountains, 4 distinct seasons, mostly woodland, and for most years extreme temps may hit 90 and winter cold upper teens.

No car is as much fun to drive, as any motorcycle is to ride.

Well, I'm kind of a newcomer here, only being here for 46 years or so. But now I've been here longer than anyone around. So they stopped saying "yer not from around here, are ya boy". Now I'm the old man and have learned to hate all new comers. So don't consider KY. You won't like it. And we have a lousy demorat gov. King Andy as we call him. He's a petty tyrant. Our taxes are stupid, and the "state revenue cabinet" feels its their mission to put us all in the poorhouse. County and city taxes are too high too.

I could go on and on, but you don't want to move here. There's a lousy skank running for the Senate against Mitch. She's so left wing she could run in Washington state or New Jerk. But all the national parties are feeding her money. Used to be, only the commercials are the relief from lefty shows. Now even they're awful. We don't want or need any outsiders meddling. Stay where you are now. Its the mess you made it, so deal with it. Oh, did I say we hate outsiders?
