Like wordle, for nerds. Same basic rules, green is in the equation, and in the correct position, etc.

Guess the NERDLE in 6 tries. After each guess, the color of the tiles will change to show how close your guess was to the solution.

Rules
Each guess is a calculation.
You can use 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 + - * / or =.
It must contain one “=”.
It must only have a number to the right of the “=”, not another calculation.
Standard order of operations applies, so calculate * and / before + and -
If the answer we're looking for is 10+20=30, then we will accept 20+10=30 too (unless you turn off 'commutative answers' in settings).

No, not just random. I think you have to be lucky to solve it in two tries, but they are doable with thought. I find it a lot more difficult than Wordle, so I'm not doing them as often, but I thought some of the math guys would enjoy the challenge.

Thanks for this. I'm an engineer/amateur math nerd so I got today's in three attempts but I'm not sure if I'll try it very often since it reminds me a little too much of my day-to-day work.

T tried it but my mind does not work that way. There are too many variables involved for me to keep track of. I got to the point where only 3 integers could be involved and only the +, -, and / operators, but I gave up at that point. Couldn't think of an equation that would work.

Wordle, OTOH, is pretty much a snap for me. I've only lost about 5% of the time. I've worked more than 200 in the archives.

My wife is addicted to Nerdle, and she's really good at it. She loves math! The past 3 days, she's solved it in 2 tries each time. I always liked math too, but just haven't been able to convince myself to try Nerdle yet. Maybe, it's because I know my wife will skin me every time.
