I encourage you to watch this video before replying. This guy has done his research and makes excellent points.

From his explanation, I got that the left calling Trump and his supporters fascists was based on a nationalistic ideal. However, it wasn’t enforced by violence or war and it wasn’t based on race or ethnicity and it wasn’t based on belonging to a bloodline, as those are all leftist ideals. No one can logically conclude that Trump is a fascist or wanted a fascist government.

I just thought the guy did a great job and his video on liberalism is also worth watching.

Fascism was started buy a guy (Mussolini) who was kicked out of the Italian Socialist Party for being to extreme. And that corporal from Austria liked what he heard and ran with it. About the only thing ANTIFA/BLM/ect are missing from their platforms is the open antisemitism in Mein Kampf. But also when ANTIFA was very active in the Trump years, there was a rise in attacks on Jewish people in this country. And in about half the case the attacker was caught, identified, and a little digging discovered they had ties to the Democrats or other leftist groups..

Sometimes being a history nut has some good humor. Like recently seeing Alyssa Milano sell her Tesla because she thinks Elon Musk is a Nazi. So she buys a VolksWagen. OK, VW is it's own company now and moved on from it's past. But knowing who created VW, designed it's first car, and why, makes this move ROFLMAOcoter worthy.

Fascism, like Socialism, Communism and Capitalism, are economic systems. They differ mostly by how much of the system is owned and controlled directly by government vs individuals.

Two, Communism and Fascism, are closely associated with brutal dictatorships.

They all aspire to the idea all pigs are equal. The truth is that in any, some pigs are more equal than others (thanks George Orwell).

In my opinion, Capitalism is the most fair by design.
Where it goes off the rails is when improper Cronyism interferes with the system.

Unfortunately history is not studied much anymore and most people only recognize the trigger words but not the story behind them.

Fascism is not right wing as the Left like to claim. It is far left on the political spectrum. The original fascist defines it as government control of private business. The methods used to do that are tyrannical. They are most universally applied by Leftists of all political and social flavors. Leftists claim that anyone right of their radicalism is fascist to project onto their target what they are doing as promoted by Alinsky.

Fascism (not to mention most extreme political movements) relies on having an easily identifiable enemy to justify their extreme measures. For Hitler it was the Jews, homosexuals, and later on, the Communists. The Commies were no different, they responded with designating the Fascists as their bogymen, then later on, the Western powers. The radical Muslims got into the act blaming Israel and the Great Satan for their self-inflicted woes. One can think of scores of example throughout history without really trying too hard.

Now the enemy of the totalitarian mindset are conservatives, families, and the church. Rinse and repeat. Who will be the next "oppressor" who is to blame for everything that is wrong with the world? Should we start a poll?
