I buy it in any manner I can get it. Sterling forks, spoons etc... BTW I am a silversmith so I make jewelry with it. Melt it down into an ingot, roll it into sheets. Finished in a product it is about $1/g. Cheers, Doug in Colorado NRA Endowment Life Member

I voted “Whatever has the lowest premium” on the premise that you want to protect your buying power against inflation. When the precious metals are in a bull market, collectable premiums historically decrease with the reverse occurring in bear markets. i.e., melt value matters more than a “limited edition” when the metal itself is in high demand. As for having smaller pieces of silver for barter, I would buy smaller pieces of silver. Even though you’ll be paying an even higher premium, I think that is a better idea than cutting up 1 oz coins. These fractional coins on Provident (where SIGforum coins were sold) are an example: https://www.providentmetals.co...l-silver-rounds.html Since divisible bullion was mentioned, I must say that I did not know about divisible silver, just divisible gold. This is an in stock example on Provident: https://www.providentmetals.co...onal-silver-bar.html This primer on APMEX might help someone decide what to buy, http://www.apmex.com/category/20000/silver, but if in doubt, I would go with the SIGforum poll. Personally, I am well diversified in silver having mint sets and junk silver either given to me as a child or inherited, 1/4 oz coins, 1 oz coins (Eagles and Morgans mostly, but also SIGforum coins), 5 oz coins, and 10 oz bars.
