Pipe SmokerClawson Cotswold Double Gloucester (cheese)
My lunch was a half pound wedge of Clawson Cotswold Double Gloucester from my local cheese counter. A delicious piquancy from the onions and chives. I sat down and ate it right there. Good stuff!

My lunch was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. I trying to keep my hate and jealously in check.

WoodmanIf I ate a half pound of cheese at one
sitting . . . now, standing up and moving around, that might work.
Then again, it might not work.
I've been enjoying a New Zealand Grass Fed sharp cheddar. Cheap! Zesty! A Trader Joe's product. Nice bite. Excellent texture. Cubes wonderfully. Many a bowl of cheese grits later, I can attest to its superior high melt point and flavor retention even when diluted within my bowl.
About a finger-sized piece, well cubed, works for me. That is just under 1.75 ounces (I've small hands).

MrToadI've been a sucker for their Stilton for years.
If you like religion, laws or sausage, then you shouldn't watch them being made. May 16, 2019, 07:40 PM

Absolutely nothing wrong with a good PB & J sandwich!

How do you order from them? I don't see anything on the website.

I don’t know – I bought it at my local cheese counter. But it’s available via Amazon:
www.amazon.com/dp/B07BZQX3CF/r..._api_i_A6X3CbSZCTKJCAnd today my lunch (from the same cheese counter) was a half pound wedge of Clawson “Huntsman”. Five alternating layers – three Double Gloucester, two Blue Stilton. Good!
www.amazon.com/dp/B01FETUZ4W/r..._api_i_P5X3Cb3PBENKHI have to exercise to keep my weight in check. I walk 5-6 miles 3 days/week, and climb stairs for an hour 3 other days (boring!). Also some floor exercises. I rest on Sunday except for the floor exercises.

Do you have an Aldi near you? They have a good take-and-bake baguette. Just pop it in a 375 oven for eight or ten minutes. It's great with cheese.

I do not. Though there are a number of excellent bakeries near me. Usually if I have a bunch of cheese I'll have some sort of bread or crackers with it. Was just curious if Pipe Smoker had anything with it or just ate a bunch of cheese on it's own.
Now I'm hungery.

Pretty sure you are quoting Monty Pythons cheese shop sketch but I can't find Red Leicestershire cheese locally anymore. Was not a problem up until the last couple of years....

About twice a week my lunch is a half pound of cheese from that wonderful cheese counter. I eat it neat – no bread, no drink, no anything. Just cheese – it tastes
so good to me. I cut it into pieces with the pocket knife that I’ve carried daily since Jan, 1980.

Well, you just cost me $30. It better be good!
