I have no way to tell if it's as good as it used to be, but I can say that there's a significant difference between wearing mine & not wearing them when listening to the stereo.

I love the hearing aids. There are a lot of adjustments and I have played with them all. I have mixed feelings about them, on one hand it's great to hear again, on the other things are way too loud, in certain situations. Me personally, Mine were free, I can't really say how I would feel if I spent thousands on them... My wife likes that I can hear again though. I can honestly say I haven't heard right in over twenty years...still in the adjustment phase...

I think mine will be Resound from the VA too. I go the 29th to get them. Did you get any of the accessories that go with them? I'm ready to go today.

I wear Widex hearing aids. I'm on my 4th set. I typically get a new pair about every 7 years. They are very expensive, but worth every penny.

I have profound hearing loss. I also have very bad tinnitus. Hearing aids do help someone with tinnitus. Because the aids amplify the sound, you can hear things over the top of the ringing.

I have to wear BTE's (behind the ear) because they have more amplication.

If I don't wear them I can not hear the TV or understand my wife

Are the newest hearing aids always reliable? If they were to go on the blink randomly, perhaps a few things could fall off the list.

I hear what you are saying. Wink
