I agree with what Parabellum just posted. I watch documentary style presentations on YouTube about the rise and fall of civilizations. There are common threads in each to the others. These threads are emerging in our civilization. Without hyperbole I think we are witnessing the fall of Rome in the United States. When Rome had decayed enough that there was nothing left of the culture worth fighting for, her neck was exposed for predators to tear. One by one the edifying principles in our culture have been discredited until now we are driven by the mob.

The rioters have an endless supply from the government. As long as it happens someplace else, it might even be interesting to watch. Will the cops of retirement age turn in their badges and take their retirement pay. I hear its nicer in FL than MN anyway. There is more to good laws than what the respective legislatures pass. We've deluded ourselves into accepting "fair trial" as 8 or so volunteer lawyers against one defense lawyer.

For those a lot older than me, isn't this something like how the WWII veterans came home, worked hard, raised families, and then 25 years later the late 60's riots and everything else happened and they were like WTF happened? We saved the world from tyranny and socialism/communism and now the kids want to join the other side?

That's why they believe the end always justifies the means. They're right in their beliefs about everything. It cannot be otherwise. Those who do not accept the dogma are heretics. Once you understand this fundamental difference between us and them (err, "we and they"?), you'll be able to make sense (of a sort) out of how they behave.

Not really. My dad is a 95yo WWII navy vet (96 this year ). Big differences are the blatant corruption in government from elected reps to 3 letter agencies to the judiciary. And the mega-corporations anti-American one world order mindset.
