My kindergarten daughter's elementary school did a little program this morning and it made my heart happy to see her singing along with all the patriotic songs even though the she was technically just supposed to be sitting there. The other great part was when they were singing an appreciation song and she was singing and gesturing (again, in the kid crowd, not part of the program) along with the choir while looking at and pointing to her brother (representing the HS MCJROTC program). When he leaves for Boot next June I think she will be even sadder than her Mom.

Houston Texas, if the heat don't kill ya, the skeeters will.

Cheers!

The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.

My daughter is now 29, but her elementary school always had a ceremony at the flagpole. It was a school day, but we had it off and always attended. One of my pals was in the CG Reserve and was in the honor guard there.
